Excellence In Radiology
We relentlessly pursue excellence. We are strategic in thinking and responsive in implementation. We are accountable for our promises. We are ethical in our actions.
Established in 2006, Sacramento Imaging has made tremendous efforts to develop strong working relationships with the local physician community, and to make imaging as convenient and comfortable as possible for patients. We are committed to providing exceptional health care services to our patients, and to maintaining modern imaging facilities that meet the needs of our patients, physicians and communities.
The ACR gold seal of accreditation symbolizes excellence, representing the pinnacle of image quality and patient safety. It is granted exclusively to facilities that rigorously adhere to ACR Practice Parameters and Technical Standards. Sacramento Imaging’s accreditation is the result of a comprehensive peer-review evaluation led by board-certified physicians and distinguished medical physicists who are recognized experts in the field.
This thorough evaluation covers numerous aspects, including image quality, personnel qualifications, equipment adequacy, quality control procedures, and quality assurance programs. Sacramento Imaging has excelled in each facet, reaffirming our dedication to providing the highest standard of care to our valued patients.
An ultrasound is a safe, painless diagnostic imaging procedure that does not use radiation. Ultrasound utilizes high frequency sound waves to produce real time diagnostic images of the soft tissues within the body. An ultrasound is performed using a handheld device called a transducer, which is moved across the body part of interest in order to acquire the images. The transducer transmits sound waves into the body and then they are reflected to the transducer from the different tissues within the body. The ultrasound machine converts the reflected sound waves into an image of the body part being scanned.
Women seeking an elective prenatal ultrasound with sacramento imaging must already be receiving treatment with a healthcare provider for prenatal care and have already undergone a medical, diagnostic ultrasound ordered by their provider to confirm their due date, screen for fetal anomalies, and to look for any other pregnancy related issues. During the elective prenatal ultrasound session, we will be conducting a limited diagnostic scan to confirm heartbeat, the number of babies in the pregnancy, the position of the baby, and the placental location. Please note, at no time is this exam to be used in place of a complete diagnostic ultrasound. With all of our sessions we offer one free “re-scan” if baby is shy or uncooperative. Sometimes, it is difficult to get clear pictures of the baby due to not enough fluid in the mother. In this case, a re-scan will be $20. It is up to the discretion of the technician to decide what will be the case. Only one free re-scan per session and the re-scan must be done within the 2 weeks following the original appointment. A no-show of a re-scan appointment will not be rescheduled.
